Sis Rebecca D Jackson, a former member of Kappa Iota Zeta Chapter was recently promoted to the position of International Executive Director for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. Inc. Sis Jackson went to DC in 2014 to take the position of Membership Services Manager and from that position, she was promoted to Office Manager at the Headquarters. In her new role as Executive Director, she will oversee corporate planning and management, internal and external controls, as well as, all budgetary matters for the sorority. Soror Jackson is a graduate of Howard University where she became a Zeta member in 1984, and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance. Additionally, she received a Master of Science degree in risk management and insurance from Georgia State University.
The Atlanta Journal and Constitution reported that Sis Meredith Evans Raiford has been named the new director of the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum. She assumes the role Nov. 29. Prior to joining the Carter library, she oversaw the Washington University Department of Special Collections in St. Louis. Sis Evans Raiford earned her master’s degree at Clark Atlanta University, was curator of printed materials at Atlanta University Center’s library and participated on an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation-funded project to process and digitize the papers and books of Martin Luther King Jr. While in Atlanta she was a member of Psi chapter at Clark and Kappa Iota Zeta Chapter. Previously, she also has held senior leadership positions and taught at several major university including Clark Atlanta University.
